The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS)’s Materials Management (MM) Unit is located at WRPS Headquarters in Cambridge, Ontario. The MM unit operates a warehouse where all uniforms and equipment are stored. They are the service’s shipping and receiving department and recently implemented the Oracle Inventory module to track their inventory. All purchase orders for the service go through MM as well as any formal procurements (RFT, RFP etc.). They are also responsible for WRPS’s fleet purchases and the outfitting of vehicles. The unit reports to the Director of Finance and Assets Branch and is part of WRPS Administration and Member Services.
